Paul Joseph Sembera was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2012.

After graduating from Antonian College Preparatory in San Antonio, he attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Plan II Honors and Ancient History and Classical Civilization. He received his B.A. in 2009 and then attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated in 2012. While in law school, Paul participated in the 2010 Summer Prosecution Clinic at the Travis County District Attorney’s Office and was a member of the American Journal of Criminal Law and Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity. He moved to Houston after graduation and focused on civil litigation with a specialization in personal injury litigation. Before joining Sprott Newsom Quattlebaum & Messenger, P.C., he worked at prominent defense and plaintiff law firms in Houston, which gives him a unique perspective in all aspects of case management and litigation. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family (including wife, two children, three dogs, and a fish), cooking, and watching college football and soccer.

Paul joined the firm in 2019 and currently specializes in personal injury defense.
