Marcia Edwards received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morgan State University. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2011.

During law school Marcia interned for The Honorable Kenneth Hoyt in the Southern District of Texas and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. She was also a Fred Parks scholarship recipient.

Upon graduation, Marcia became a solo-practitioner, representing clients in transactional matters. She then joined an international law firm where her practice focused on regulatory matters and compliance. Prior to joining Sprott Newsom Quattlebaum & Messenger, Marcia worked for a local insurance defense firm where her practice focused on third-party insurance defense, including personal injury, premises liability, commercial vehicle accidents, construction defect claims, wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.

Marcia primarily practices in personal injury defense.
